They are firmly glued to the shield, away from the part that goes in the mouth. As with any item with embellishments, check that they are secure before each use and use it under adult supervision.

How do I clean it?
Only the teat should be sterilised, with boiling water or a cold-water steriliser. Clean the rhinestone shield with a damp cloth, without immersing it, so the glue is not weakened.
