Do the little ears bother inside shoes?
No, they're on the top edge of the leg, well away from the foot and the fit of the shoe.
Does the cotton shrink in the wash?
Wash them at 30° and air dry: at higher temperatures cotton can shrink by half a size.
How high are they?
They come up to just below the knee: this is the knee-high style, not the short ankle sock.
